A standout season on the pitch headlined Laguna Blanca’s athletic success during the 2025-26 winter season.

The Owls boasted plenty of standout student-athletes on their soccer and basketball teams, and they were rewarded with All-Frontier League honors.

Boys Soccer

The Laguna Blanca boys soccer team enjoyed one of its best in program history, capturing its first Frontier League title in 11 years. As a result, Rick Rodriguez was named the Frontier League Coach of the Year.

Senior Baylor Wilson turned in a historic season for the Owls, setting a program record with 31 goals to go along with eight assists en route to Frontier League Offensive Player of the Year honors.

The top team in the league was rewarded with the most All-League honorees, led by Frontier League First Team members senior center back Finlay Sutherland, senior center mid Isaac Duron, senior center back Beckett Smythe, senior goalkeeper Enzo Viñoly and sophomore center defensive mid Joshua Gomez.

The Owls’ individual success carried over to the All-Frontier League Second Team, as senior midfielder Alex McClintock, senior defender Henry Risley, junior Inak Phillips and sophomore midfielder Jacopo Sutherland were named to the team.

The trio of senior midfielder Noah Mitev, freshman forward Samuel Hilton-Webster and freshman midfielder Eddie Castrejon rounded out the team’s honorees as All-League Honorable Mentions.

Girls Soccer

The Laguna Blanca girls soccer team also had a successful season and reached the CIF-SS playoffs, led by sophomore Frontier League Offensive Player of the Year Arden Blagden.

Senior defender Lila Foster and freshman forward Elle Harris showcased the present and the future of the Owl program with All-Frontier League First Team-caliber seasons.

The duo of junior defender Maritza Barrera and sophomore defender Maritt Blabey locked down the back line for Laguna Blanca en route to All-League Second Team selections.

Meanwhile, junior forward Charlie Carrington and freshman forward Lauren Kenny took care of business on the offensive end and were named All-League Honorable Mentions.

Boys Basketball

The youthful Laguna Blanca boys basketball squad gave fans plenty to look forward to, including an All-Frontier League First Team season from freshman guard Holden Pak.

Sophomore guard Luke Popovich was the other half of the Owls’ underclassmen backcourt and put together an All-Frontier League Second Team campaign.

The freshman pairing of forwards Max Miller and Oliver Archibald also began their high school careers on a high note with All-League Honorable Mention selections.

Girls Basketball

The junior backcourt of Carolina Duron-Angeles and Kate Becerra regularly filled up the stat sheet for the Laguna Blanca girls basketball team and represented the Owls on the All-Frontier League First Team.

Senior guard Kira Rameson and freshman forward Charlotte Carpenter ended and began, respectively, their Laguna Blanca careers with All-League Second Team nods.

The trio of senior forward Vanessa Vasquez, sophomore forward Violet d’Offay and freshman guard Gianna Hochevar-Perez showcased Laguna Blanca’s balance and were named All-League Honorable Mentions.
