The Lompoc Beautification and Appearance Commission is pleased to share that the popular annual Spring Yard Beautification Contest will begin at an earlier date this year.
Don’t delay – start planting today! With spring bulbs and landscape supplies popping up around town, now is the time to begin considering the perfect landscape to be considered for submission into the contest.
Yards will be judged on multiple criteria, including visual appeal, maintenance, water conservation, and artistic impact. To be considered, yards must be visible from a vehicle on the street. Residences and businesses must be nominated in order to be considered for an award.
