Steven Reed Pawlowski was born April 7, 1952 in Santa Barbara to Mary Ellen Needles and Alexander Pawlowski II. He died on April 7, 2025.

Steven attended school locally and graduated from San Marcos High School, before attending Santa Barbara City College.

He worked in a variety of occupations, from retail to radio, photography to travel; and for a period he sought adventure around the world, a time he found exhilarating and fulfilling.

Later in life Steven was in declining health, spending his final years in assisted living.

Like his father before him, Steven was a true survivor — tough and resilient.

Steven never married and is survived by his older brother Alex Pawlowski III, and two nephews.

Steven was especially proud of being a native Santa Barbaran and cherished his hometown.

A character to the end, Steven has finally found peace at last.
