Stevens & Associates Insurance Agency, a firm with over four decades of service in the Santa Barbara community, recently participated in the Medicarians 2025 Conference in Las Vegas. This participation reflects the company’s commitment to remaining at the forefront of the evolving Medicare landscape and the integral role of technology.

Stevens & Associates views its involvement in the Medicarians 2025 conference, particularly on the “Agency in the Age of Technology” panel, as a valuable opportunity to engage with industry leaders and contribute to the ongoing dialogue about technology and innovation within the Medicare sector.

“The discussions highlighted the essential need for a strategic integration of technology to optimize our operations and enhance the service we provide to our aging community,” states Stevens & Associates.

A key focus for Stevens & Associates is the practical application of technology to enhance client interactions and streamline internal processes.

The firm emphasizes the potential of thoughtfully implemented technology to address complex business challenges, enabling the company to scale its operations and provide enhanced support to its clients.

Specifically, we highlight the importance of automation to support Part D, or Prescription Drug Plans in 2025 and beyond.

As Medicare and the insurance companies continue to push agents out of the Part D sector, it is becoming nearly impossible to manage Part D for clients the same way. It was refreshing to see other agents across the country fighting for the ability to assist their clients.

Stevens & Associates has transitioned from traditional paper-based processes to user-friendly virtual forms and is preparing an announcement to release tools to their clients that help file prior authorizations, quantity limit appeals, formulary appeals, and many other benefits.

“Our automated system is being built handle our client’s needs. As the companies continue pushing agents out, we have realized a new strategy is needed,” the firm explains, “by January 2026, we are expected to only be able to service our client’s needs for less than half of the insurance companies. We are not about to leave our clients on their own to navigate such a difficult market. If we can’t do the work for them, then we will make something that does.”

Stevens & Associates acknowledges that while technology is a significant asset, the expertise and personalized support of its team remain central to its service philosophy.

“Our team’s ability to leverage technology strengthens our capacity to serve our clients effectively and to still serve in areas agents are jumping out of,” the firm affirms. “We are committed to continuous improvement and consistently delivering high-quality service.”

The Medicarians panel also addressed the critical importance of regulatory compliance in Medicare. “Adhering to all regulations and safeguarding the privacy of individuals’ information is paramount,” Stevens & Associates emphasizes. “We have established a strong reputation for trust in Santa Barbara and are dedicated to upholding it through ethical practices.”

Looking ahead, Stevens & Associates recognizes the potential for technology to further enhance the Medicare experience.

“We anticipate that technology will facilitate improved connectivity and provide individuals with timely and relevant information,” the firm states. “However, we also firmly believe in the importance of personalized guidance from knowledgeable advisors.”

For Santa Barbara residents seeking to navigate Medicare, Stevens & Associates is committed to providing expert assistance and support. “Having served this community for over 40 years, our goal is to simplify the complexities of Medicare,” the CEO, Jason Stevens says.

Stevens & Associates’ insights underscore the growing importance of integrating technology strategically within the Medicare sector, balancing efficiency with the essential human element of personalized support.
