Rain and gusty winds are possible across Santa Barbara County Tuesday afternoon into early Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.
Forecasters said the main window for precipitation is expected between 4 p.m. Tuesday and 4 a.m. Wednesday, with most areas likely to receive a quarter to a half inch of rain. Some areas along the South Coast, including Santa Barbara, could see up to an inch, according to NWS meteorologist Mike Wofford.
There’s a 70-80% chance of rain across the county Tuesday night.
Winds may gust up to 25 mph across much of the county ahead of the storm, with stronger gusts possible in the interior mountains. Wofford said a wind advisory may be issued for higher terrain depending on how conditions develop.

Dry, warm weather is expected Thursday and Friday before another round of unsettled weather arrives Sunday. Wofford said the early outlook calls for multiple storm systems starting Sunday and continuing into next week.
“There’s going to be two or three storms that are going to be coming through that period, but there may not be a lot of break between them,” he said.
“We’re probably looking at another 2 to 4 inches of rain areawide,” Wofford said, “but that’s spread out over several days.”
Daytime temperatures in the 60s and overnight lows in the 40s are expected for the rest of the week across Santa Barbara County.
