Dos Pueblos football pulled out a 14-3 Tri-County League victory over Santa Paula High on Friday in Santa Paula.
With the win, the Chargers improved to 2-1 in league action ahead of a road matchup against Fillmore next Friday.
The first half was a defensive slugfest, as neither offense found success moving the ball and the game went into halftime tied at 0-0.
Santa Paula finally broke the scoreless tie in the third quarter with a field goal, but the score would remain at 3-0 heading into the fourth.
The Dos Pueblos offense finally woke up in the fourth quarter, scoring a pair of touchdowns to pull away and secure the defensive-minded victory.
