The Santa Barbara Foresters remained undefeated on the home stand with an 8-1 win over the San Diego Bombers on Saturday at Eddie Mathews Field.
The Foresters (10-1) jumped on the Bombers with five runs in the opening frame and never looked back en route to their seventh consecutive victory.
After a scoreless top of the first, Sawyer Farr (Texas A&M) roped an RBI double and Brady Dallimore (TCU) crushed a three-run homer to open the game with a bang. Another run came in on an error to grow the lead to 5-0.
Santa Barbara tacked on one run in the third, seventh and eighth innings to pull away with the win from there.
Caleb Hoover (South Carolina) drove in a run on a single in the third, Terrence Kiel (Texas A&M) scored on a wild pitch in the seventh and followed that up with a run-scoring double to cap off the scoring in the eighth.
On the bump, AJ Krodel (UCSB) cruised through five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and striking out 10 batters.
In relief, Tyler Phenow (TCU) hurled two shutout frames and Eliot Gallegos (UCSB) allowed one run and struck out three in the final two innings of the victory.
