Jeanmarie Harty, vice chair of the Stuart C. Gildred Family YMCA Board, is the 2024 annual campaign chair. The campaign was launched Feb. 1 with an in-person event at the YMCA.

Annually, the YMCA provides financial assistance to families and individuals for memberships or programs such as child care, camp, sports, and after-school programs.

Funds raised during the campaign also are used to provide financial assistance to community members, in addition to providing no cost Third Grade Learn to Swim and LiveSTRONG at the YMCA cancer survivor program.

“Funds raised during our annual campaign stay local, we directly see the positive impact on the people of our community,” Harty said.

“Find Belonging at the Y” is this year’s campaign slogan.

“The Stuart C. Gildred Family YMCA is here to inspire change, and these funds help us to build a stronger, healthier and more connected community,” said Kathryn Thompson, YMCA executive director.
