The city of Lompoc has released its bilingual 2025 conservation calendar, featuring original artwork created by students from Lompoc Valley Middle School (LVMS). The calendar is available for free to the public.

The student artwork was created under the guidance of LVMS art teacher Peggy Andrews, in keeping with the theme Cultivating a Conservation Ethic.
Through Andrews’ introduction to graphic design class, students learn essential design principles, develop skills using computer software, and explore potential career paths in the creative field.
Lompoc city staff voted on their favorite student artwork created for the project, and these designs were placed in the calendar. Student artists were recognized during a reception at Lompoc City Hall.
