The Santa Maria Public Library will offer several one-on-one Tech Help sessions in December.

Each 25-minute provides instruction on topics such as setting up new devices, installing apps, privacy best practices, and enjoying library e-resources at home.

Tech Help appointments are available by appointment only by calling the library, 805-925-0994 ext. 8562.

The program does not include assistance with hardware repairs, virus removal, financial transactions, or applications that require users to input sensitive information.

All sessions, as follows, are in the library’s Learning Loft, 421 S. McClelland St.

• Saturday, Dec. 6, 11 a.m.-noon
• Sunday, Dec. 7, 1-3 p.m. (Spanish session)
• Sunday, Dec. 14, 3-4 p.m.
• Saturday, Dec. 20, 11 a.m.-noon
• Sunday, Dec. 28, 3-4 p.m.

This Santa Maria Smart City, Safe City program helps improve the quality of life by teaching people how to bridge the digital divide through instructional help with smart phones, tablets, laptops and desktops.
