The Rotary Club of Carpinteria recently presented Summerland School fifth-graders Everest Atkens and Jonah Wyban with recognition awards for passing Rotary’s Four-Way Test.

The presentation was made by the Rotary Club of Carpinteria’s Bonnie Yonker Hammett, who chairs the community service committee.

Carpinteria Unified School District Superintendent Diana Rigby also was on hand for the end-of-year ceremony at the school, at 135 Valencia Road.

Bonnie Yonker Hammett is the community service chairwoman for the Rotary Club of Carpinteria.
