The Sun Fire is 100% contained and crews have left the area, according to Santa Barbara County Fire Capt. Scott Safechuck. 

There were no injuries or structural damages associated with the fire, according to Safechuck. 

The fire, which burned 211 acres on the hills between Lompoc and Gaviota, was first reported Thursday afternoon in the 7200 block of Highway 1, according to County Fire

The blaze was 100% contained as of Sunday evening.

Crews from Santa Barbara County, Santa Maria, Lompoc, and Montecito fire agencies were involved in combating the fire. Several water-dropping helicopters and air tankers were deployed in the first few hours after the fire started. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Safechuck.

It was dubbed the Sun Fire since it started near the Sunburst Sanctuary retreat.
