Tickets are on sale now for Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley, Oct. 1-4, a celebration of the food, wine, agriculture, and the people that have made the Santa Ynez Valley a California culinary destination.
Presented by Visit the Santa Ynez Valley in partnership with Sunset Magazine, Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley showcases the region’s six communities (Ballard, Buellton, Los Alamos, Los Olivos, Santa Ynez and Solvang) with experiences that connect visitors with the flavors and stories behind the North County wine regions.
Activities include chef-driven communal dinners and curated wine tastings, vineyard walks, horseback rides, ziplining, and agritourism experiences.
New this year, Friday’s events invite attendees to explore the region’s agricultural roots with the Heritage Farmland & Flavors of SYV Tour, a family-friendly excursion that visits working farms, ranches and farmstands, while offering hands-on tastings and a farm-fresh picnic.
That evening, Taste SYV will spotlight some of the region’s acclaimed culinary talent for the Los Olivos & Santa Ynez Dinner and Tasting at Santa Ynez Ranch.
Attendees will enjoy wines from Los Olivos, Santa Ynez, and Happy Canyon before gathering around communal tables for a family-style feast prepared by Bar Le Côte, Los Olivos Wine Merchant Café, Lucky Penny, and Willows at Chumash Casino Resort.
“Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley is about much more than exceptional food and wine,” says Shelby Sim, president/CEO of Visit the Santa Ynez Valley. “It’s an opportunity to connect with the people, places and traditions that make this region special.
“Whether you’re enjoying a meal prepared by some of our most talented chefs, walking through a vineyard with a winemaker, or exploring the farms and ranches that sustain our agricultural heritage, every experience offers a deeper connection to the Santa Ynez Valley.”
All official Taste of the Santa Ynez Valley events are ticketed and must be purchased in advance. Event prices range from $35 for the Saarloos & Sons Vineyard Walk & Wine Tasting to $200 for the signature communal dinners.
