Patrick has always led an active life but experienced chest pain while hiking. He was suffering from aortic stenosis and needed TAVR — a minimally invasive heart procedure that does not require open heart surgery.
He received TAVR by Dr. Michael Shenoda, an interventional cardiologist affiliated with the Cottage Heart & Vascular Center.
“I knew I was going to get better, but I was better immediately,” Patrick said. “I feel like my old self again.”
He’s been active ever since.
