The Dos Pueblos boys jumped out to a 3-0 first quarter lead and never looked back in a Channel League win over host San Marcos Friday.
“It was a full team effort, with solid play all around,” Charger coach Lucas Martinez said.
Standouts included sophomore attackman Parker Bentley, with five assists and a goal.
“Parker was a terror from behind the goal, finding his teammates with perfect feeds,” Martinez said.
Fellow Dos Pueblos attackman Dan Finneran scored four goals and added three assists. Cal Denier and Cairo Rios dominated the faceoff X, going 14-for-17 to help the Chargers dominate time of possession.
“The DP defense locked down on the Royals, allowing only three goals before giving up one in garbage time,” Martinez said.
Dos Pueblos is now 3-2 in league play, tied for second place with San Marcos in the Channel League, behind 5-0 Cate.
