Theatre Group at City College has announced upcoming auditions for its production of the comedy “Clue.”

The tryouts will be Monday, June 8 by appointment, beginning at 5 p.m. in the Garvin Theatre, or by video submission by June 15 at https://www.theatregroupsbcc.com/auditions.

Directed by Amy Love, the show is based on the screenplay by Jonathan Lynn
and written by Sandy Rustin, with additional material by Hunter Foster and Eric Price.

Callbacks will be Wednesday, July 22, starting at 5 p.m., also in the Garvin; rehearsals begin Thursday, Aug. 20.

Performances run Oct. 7-24.

Based on the classic cult film and popular board game, “Clue” is set on a dark and stormy night, and the cast of oddball characters has been invited to an unusual dinner party.

Each of the guests has an alias, the butler offers a variety of weapons, and the host is, well, dead. So, whodunit?

The iconic characters, known as Scarlet, Plum, White, Green, Peacock and Mustard, race to find the murderer in Boddy Manor before the body count stacks up.
