Carson Turnquist allowed one hit through six innings, and the Foresters belted three homers in 9-4 win over the Orange County Riptide in the rubber match of a three-game series on Sunday at Pershing Park.
Will Rogers hit a two-run homer in the first inning after Max Belyeu drove in lead-off batter Daniel Patterson with a single.
Rylan Galvan cracked a solo homer in the fourth for a 4-0 lead.
One inning later, Jalin Flores drove Patterson in from first base on a double to deep left field. Rogers plated Flores from third base after a steal, and Eamonn Lance hit solo homer to expand the Foresters lead to 7-0.
It became 9-0 in the seventh as Greg Pace scored on a wild pitch, and Flores brought in Ryan Black.
The Riptide avoided the shutout on a solo homer by Nathan Cadena in the seventh. They picked up three runs in the ninth.
The Foresters travel to Thousand Oaks on Tuesday to take on the Conejo Oaks at Sparky Anderson Field, with the first pitch scheduled for 4:30 p.m. They return home on Wednesday for a non-league matchup against the Coastal Dodgers.
