Santa Barbara broke open a 3-3 tie in the top of the sixth inning on the way to a 6-3 Channel League victory at Santa Ynez Tuesday.

Starter Eric Anthony took the win for the Dons, allowing four hits and three runs over five innings, striking out six and walking one. Juan Perez recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Santa Barbara.

Mikey Gills opened the scoring for Santa Ynez with a solo home run in the first inning.

Owen Hunt started for the Pirates, allowing four hits and six runs over five and a third innings, striking out three. Adam Stephens and Caleb Cassidy finished the game for Santa Ynez.

Jack Holland went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead the Santa Barbara offense. He also drew a walk, scoring a run, in the decisive sixth inning.

Hunt led Santa Ynez with two hits in three at bats.
