In Loving Memory of Timothy Francis Haggerty.

Timothy Francis Haggerty, beloved father, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2024, at the age of 73. He leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and spontaneity that will be cherished forever.

Tim was born on Jan. 24, 1951 in Santa Barbara to John Joseph Haggerty and Brigid “Nan” Ann (Daly) Haggerty.

Tim was the youngest of seven siblings and a loving father to his two children Brian and Meaghan. His generosity knew no bounds, and his love for his family was unwavering. He had a way of making every moment special with his spontaneous spirit and infectious laughter.

He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and sisters Winifred (Haggerty) Elbert and Margaret (Haggerty) Hoesl.

He is survived by his siblings John J. Haggerty, Nellie (Haggerty) Cavaletto, Patricia (Haggerty) Tangney, and James Haggerty; his children Brian Haggerty and Meaghan (Haggerty) Wild; daughter-in-law, Christina (Reck) Haggerty; son-in-law, J.T. Wild; and his adored grandchildren Hailey and Logan Haggerty and Chloe and Toby Wild.

Tim had a great love for sports; he was always the No. 1 fan at his kids’ and grandkids’ sporting events, and he enjoyed umpiring for Babe Ruth youth baseball for many years.

He touched the lives of all who knew him, leaving behind memories of his warm smile and caring heart. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, but his spirit will live on in the countless lives he has touched.

May his soul rest in peace, surrounded by the love and gratitude of those who were fortunate enough to know him. Timothy Francis Haggerty will always be remembered for the light he brought into the lives of others.

A gathering to celebrate Tim’s life will be held at noon Saturday, Sept. 28 at Tuckers Grove Park in Santa Barbara. Family and friends are invited to join in celebrating his memory.
