Because it is important for community members to be prepared and informed about insurance matters in the event of a disaster, the city of Goleta and several state officials will host an insurance Town Hall, 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 27 at the Goleta Community Center, 5679 Hollister Ave.

At the event, State Sen. Monique Limón, Assemblymember Gregg Hart, and Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara will provide insights into the current state of the insurance market, and focus on how local residents can effectively safeguard their policy and protect themselves financially during and after a disaster.
