A tree fell on the highway in Santa Barbara Tuesday evening, causing minor injuries and some vehicle damage.
The downed tree was reported at 5:23 p.m. near the northbound Highway 101 Las Positas Road off-ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The tree appeared to have hit at least one vehicle as it fell, and additional vehicles hit it in the road, according to emergency radio traffic.
There appeared to be one person with minor injuries from the incident, Santa Barbara City Fire Department Battalion Chief Cory Cloud said.
He said Caltrans crews will remove the tree, which was blocking the slow lane of the highway and causing traffic delays through Santa Barbara.
