The Santa Maria Public Library will offer several one-on-one Tech Help sessions in February. Each appointment provides 25 minutes for instruction on topics such as setting up new devices, installing apps, privacy best practices, and using library e-resources at home.

The program does not include assistance with hardware repairs, virus removal, financial transactions, or applications that require users to input sensitive information.

To make a Tech Help appointment, call the library at 805-925-0994 ext. 8562. The following sessions will be held in the library’s Learning Loft, 421 S. McClelland St.

  • Sunday, Feb. 9, 2-4 p.m.
  • Saturday, Feb. 15, 11-1 p.m.
  • Sunday, Feb. 23, 2-4 p.m.

The Tech Help sessions are part of the Santa Maria Smart City, Safe City program designed to improve the quality of life by teaching people how to bridge the digital divide through instructional help with smart phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops.
