Two juveniles were booked into Santa Maria Juvenile Hall after police investigated several seemingly related incidents on Friday.
Shortly after 5 p.m., Santa Maria Police Department emergency communications dispatchers received several calls about numerous people fighting in the middle of the 500 block of East Street, Sgt. Andy Magallon said Saturday.
Callers also reported hearing gunshots in the area and claimed someone had been hit by a vehicle.
As police investigated the incident, they located two juveniles believed to be connected to an earlier robbery involving a teen victim, Magallon said.
Officers also located a vehicle with damage from multiple vehicles and allegedly involved in the incident, Magallon added.
Later, a juvenile showed up at Marian Regional Medical Center with injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle, but he was not cooperative with police, Magallon said.
The names of those involved in the incidents were not released because of their ages.
Officers never located any gunshot victims connected to the shooting, Magallon added.
The case has been referred to the Detective Bureau for additional investigation.
