Caltrans reports it will reopen two lanes of Hwy. 154 between San Antonio Creek Road and Painted Cave Road by end of day Friday, July 19, following repairs to pavement cracking discovered on June 21 during an ongoing emergency slip-out repair project.
 
Travelers will encounter intermittent lane closures 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 9 a.m.-noon Friday to allow Caltrans to continue ongoing slide repair work and pavement reconstruction following a series of winter storms.

During the lane closures, one-way reversing traffic control will be in place, Caltrans said.
 
A reduced speed zone will be in effect until all repairs are complete. The project is expected to be complete sometime this winter.
 
Travelers are advised to be aware of electronic message boards, flaggers and all highway workers within this work zone. 
 
Contractor for the $10 million project is CalPortland Construction, Inc. of Santa Maria.
