Santa Barbara High delivered two-out hits to score three runs in the fifth inning and beat Saugus, 3-1, in a non-league baseball game Wednesday at Eddie Mathews Field.

Kai Mault ripped a two-out double to score Tomas Gil from third base for the first run. Gil drew a walk from Saugus starter Nicholas Carufel and then stole second and third.

Zane Lee-Paulick followed Mault with a RBI single and Michael Firestone reached base on an error. Liam Keithley drove in Lee-Paulick with a single.

Enrique Ramirez got the start for the Dons and went five innings. He allowed three hits, one walk and no runs, while striking out five.

Santa Barbara improves to 11-8 on the season. The Dons finish the week with a non-league game against Camarillo on Thursday at home.
