Two people received moderate injuries Sunday after a Toyota Tacoma rolled onto its side in a crash involving another vehicle on Highway 101 in Santa Barbara.
Santa Barbara City Fire Department personnel were dispatched to the two-vehicle crash at approximately 4:45 p.m. on southbound Highway 101 near the Las Positas Road exit, according to emergency dispatch reports.
The crash involved two vehicles, a gray sedan and a white Toyota.
Two occupants climbed out of the white Toyota truck, which ended up on its side against the embankment along the right edge of the highway, city Fire Battalion Chief Jon Turner said.
The two patients from the Tacoma were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital by American Medical Response ambulances for treatment of moderate injuries, Turner added.
Traffic along Highway 101 in the area was affected for a time Sunday due to the crash.
California Highway Patrol officers from the Santa Barbara area were investigating the circumstances that led to the crash.
