The 2025 UC Santa Barbara Men’s Volleyball schedule is set, head coach Rick McLaughlin announced Tuesday.
The Gauchos’ 27-game slate begins with the ASICS Invitational, Jan. 9-11, and features 15 total home matches, highlighted by matchups with defending national champions UCLA and national finalists Long Beach State in the Thunderdome.
Single-game tickets for all 15 of Santa Barbara’s home matches are on sale now.
The Gauchos will once again open their season by hosting the ASICS Invitational, where they will play Missouri S&T on Jan. 9, Menlo College on Jan. 10 and Tusculum on Jan. 11.
UC Irvine and CSUN will also be in attendance, with a total of three matches being played each day, all in Rob Gym. All-session tickets for the ASICS Invitational are on sale now, costing $40 and granting admission to all nine matches on the weekend.
Single-game tickets for all 15 of Santa Barbara’s home matches, including their three ASICS Invitational contests, are available for $12 each, with group (eight or more) tickets available at a discounted rate.
Following the ASICS Invitational, the Gauchos will play their first of 11 matches in the Thunderdome on Jan. 17, hosting Emmanuel University before beginning their first road trip of the season.
Santa Barbara will play back-to-back matches at Grand Canyon, who reached the semifinals of last year’s NCAA Tournament, Jan. 24 and 25.
The Gauchos then round out the month of January back at home, hosting Concordia Irvine in the Thunderdome on Jan. 29 and Lewis University in Rob Gym on Jan. 31.
Santa Barbara hits the road again for back-to-back matches at BYU on Feb. 7 and 8, then plays a home-and-home series with Pepperdine, hosting the Waves in the Thunderdome on Feb. 14 and playing in Malibu on Feb. 15.
The Gauchos then pay a visit to Concordia Irvine on Feb. 20 before rounding out the month with three matches in four days.
Santa Barbara will host Cal Lutheran in the Thunderdome on Feb. 25 before traveling to face defending national champs UCLA in Los Angeles on Feb. 26. On Feb. 28, the Gauchos will host the Bruins in the Thunderdome.
With the beginning of March comes Big West conference play, which Santa Barbara begins by hosting UC San Diego in the Thunderdome on March 7. They will then travel to La Jolla to face the Tritons again on March 14.
The Gauchos play their final non-conference match of the year on March 25, at Cal Lutheran, then visit CSUN in Northridge on March 28. On March 29, the Gauchos are back in the Thunderdome, hosting the Matadors.
Santa Barbara then opens the month of April at home, hosting Long Beach State on April 4 before traveling down to Long Beach for a second matchup with the Beach on April 5.
The Gauchos host UC Irvine in the Thunderdome on April 10 and play their final road match of the season on April 12, visiting the Anteaters.
Santa Barbara’s last two regular season contests are against Hawai’i in the Thunderdome, April 18 and 19. The Gauchos then head to Honolulu for The Hawaiian Islands presents the 2025 Outrigger Big West Men’s Volleyball Championship, April 24-26.
