UC Santa Barbara Athletics will celebrate National Women and Girls in Sports Day on Saturday at the women’s basketball game against CSUN at 4 p.m.
All of the university’s women’s athletic teams will be at The Thunderdome to be honored and connect with girls in the community.
Youth under 18 will receive free admission to the game.
Following the Big West Conference game, there will be a question-and-answer session with UCSB Director of Athletics, Kelly Barsky, the first female to head the athletics program, as well as various student-athletes and coaches. All in attendance will be able to ask any questions of these women. There will also be an autograph session available with all student-athletes in attendance.
