Third-ranked UC Santa Barbara men’s volleyball earned its fourth straight win Friday night, sweeping host No. 14 UC Irvine 25-20, 25-14, 25-18.
The Gauchos now boast an overall record of 9-4 with a 4-3 conference mark, while the Anteaters fall to 2-10 and 2-6.
UCSB spread the love on the attack with Ryan Wilcox and Roy McFarland each collecting 10 kills, and Keenan Sanders and Randy DeWeese posting nine each. Sanders had a potent 9-0-15 line for a .600 hitting percentage and McFarland added eight digs.
Casey McGarry led the match with both 35 assists and nine digs.
The two teams will meet for the fifth and final time during the regular season Saturday night in Irvine. The match will be aired live on ESPN3.
