Leslie Bisno has been named vice president of advancement at United Boys & Girls Club of Santa Barbara County (UBGC). Originally from Los Angeles, Bisno has spent a number of years in Santa Barbara.
“My first fundraising job was in 2004 for Santa Barbara County’s United Way,” he said.
“I am thrilled that we were able to hire someone with as much experience and knowledge of Santa Barbara County as Leslie has,” said UBGC CEO Michael Baker. “I look forward to expanding our outreach efforts to reach even more Santa Barbara County youth through Leslie’s efforts.”
“I love working for an organization that is truly making a tangible and very positive difference in our community, our country, and the world,” Bisno said. “Santa Barbara is full of really interesting and highly accomplished people with whom our mission resonates; it’s great fun and very fulfilling to work with those people in service of that mission.”
Board President Tony Vallejo said, “I am very excited to work with Leslie. His expertise will be incredibly valuable to the organization. More importantly, his passion for helping the children in our community who need us most is contagious and very obvious; he is already a very important new member of the team.”
