Southern California Edison will conduct essential utility work near the Hollister Avenue Bridge over San Jose Creek in Goleta on Monday, Feb. 24.

As part of this work, a power outage will affect traffic signals along Hollister Avenue between Ward Drive and Dearborn Place, resulting in traffic disruptions.



Motorists can expect delays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Drivers are advised to allow for extra travel time and exercise heightened caution while navigating through the affected intersections.



In accordance with California Vehicle Code Section 21800(d)(1), drivers must stop at any intersection where traffic signals are inoperative and may proceed with caution when it is safe to do so.



The city urges all motorists to remain alert and follow all traffic laws to ensure the safety of drivers, cyclists, and pedestrians during this utility work. Alternative routes are recommended to minimize delays.
