A Santa Barbara Tesla dealership and Ford dealerships were graffitied on Wednesday.
KEYT reported that passersby walking down Hitchcock Way could see “impeach Trump, lies, greed, power, follow the truth” written on a wall of the Santa Barbara Tesla dealership.
Around the corner on Calle Real, on the side of Perry Ford of Santa Barbara, graffiti in a similar style could be seen with the words “Rebellion, impeach Trump, lies.”
The graffiti at the Tesla dealership had been painted over as of Thursday morning, but the graffiti on the Perry Ford building was still present.
No vehicles appeared damaged at either dealership.
Sgt. Bryan Kerr with the Santa Barbara Police Department said they received an online report about the graffiti on Wednesday and that no other damage was reported. He added that it was too soon to know if there will be any kind of follow-up investigation.
An employee at the Tesla dealership declined to comment on the vandalism.
There have been protests held on the sidewalk near the Tesla dealership on recent Saturdays.
Local residents have been waving signs protesting Tesla owner Elon Musk’s involvement in President Donald Trump’s administration as a senior adviser and head of the Department of Government Efficiency.
