Crews stopped a vegetation fire that was burning in the hills above the Goleta Valley on Thursday night.

The blaze was reported on the 1200 block of North San Marcos Road at 7:45 p.m.

Multiple crews were dispatched to the scene to fight the blaze, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department. 

The fire burned about 2 acres, according to emergency radio traffic. 

Forward progress was stopped at 8:25 p.m., County Fire officials said.

The blaze was reportedly burning below some power lines, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Southern California Edison reported a power outage in the area of North San Marcos Road and Cathedral Oaks Thursday night that was affecting about 150 customers.

No additional information was immediately available.
