There are no drive-thru liquor stores in Santa Barbara, but that didn’t stop one motorist Thursday night.
At about 7:25 p.m., Santa Barbara County firefighters were dispatched to a small shopping center along Las Positas Road for a report of a vehicle that had crashed into a business.
Upon arrival, they found the vehicle entirely within Las Positas Liquor at 2283 Las Positas Road, fire Capt. Daniel Bertucelli said.
The driver and single occupant of the small SUV was not injured in the crash, Bercucelli said.
Crews assisted the store owner in removing the vehicle, and county building officials were called in to assess the damage to the structure.
The crash remained under investigation.
