The Cottage Cardiology Clinic Santa Barbara is hosting a free virtual Meet the Doctor event on Protecting Your Heart Through Cancer Treatment, 4-5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 19.
The program will feature Dr. Elizabeth Hutchins, a board-certified cardiology and cardio-oncology specialist affiliated with Cottage Health.
Dr. Hutchins, the region’s only cardiologist specializing in cardio-oncology, will share how she partners with oncologists to deliver comprehensive and personalized care, Cottage Health said.
Participants will learn:
- Why heart health matters before, during and after cancer treatment .
- How coordinated care between oncology and cardiology supports better outcomes.
- Practical tips to help protect heart health throughout treatment.
The event will include a Q&A session, providing participants a chance to have questions answered directly by Dr. Hutchins in a confidential setting.
