Cottage Center for Orthopedics will present a free virtual Meet the Doctor event, 4-5 p.m. Thursday, May 2, featuring orthopedic surgeon Dr. Rivka Ihejirika-Lomedico, who will provide insights on optimizing bone health, focusing on osteoporosis and orthopedics.
Dr. Lomedico will cover topics, including strategies for orthopedic injury prevention; understanding the risk factors associated with osteoporosis; and the role of exercise, diet and nutrition in bone health maintenance.
Participants also will learn about bone health medications, explore various surgical options and engage in a Q&A session.
