A SpaceX rocket launch carrying a military payload from Vandenberg Space Force Base won’t occur until Wednesday at the earliest.
The next attempt will target 4:03 p.m. Wednesday from Space Launch Complex-4 on South Base.
Tuesday’s countdown stopped slightly more than 37 minutes before the planned afternoon departure.
SpaceX blamed “unfavorable weather” for the postponement.
The rocket will carry the Space Development Agency’s second Tranche 1 data transport mission as the military creates a new generation satellites to provide low-latency communication links to support U.S. military members.
This is the second of 10 Tranche 1 missions set to launch for the military in the coming months.
A live webcast of this mission will begin about 10 minutes prior to liftoff, and be can watched at www.spacex.com and on X @SpaceX.
