Rescue Mission Alliance Central Coast Announces “Weeks of Hope” to Benefit the unhoused and food insecure families of Santa Maria.

Rescue Mission Alliance Central Coast will start Weeks of Hope, an initiative designed to provide uncooked holiday meals for unhoused and families in need, Nov. 20 at Vida Church, 709 N. Curryer St., Santa Maria.

The goal of the event is to bridge the gap for families and the unhoused during the holiday season.

“We hope to raise awareness around our cities tremendous need in partnership with surrounding organizations,” the Rescue Mission said.

Weeks of Hope will feature a carnival for kids and a small collective of partnering organizations to provide access and information around available resources.

Uncooked holiday meals will be distributed starting at 5 p.m., sharp.

“We are incredibly excited about Weeks of Hope, and believe it will unify partnering organizations, while serving our community’s needs,” said Luke Johnson, program director of Rescue Mission Alliance Central Coast.

“This initiative is a testament to our commitment to our community, those in need and our resident’s overcoming addiction,” he said.
