The Lompoc Community Development Division, a division of the Community Development Department, invites public comment on the Fiscal Year 2026-27 CDBG Action Plan, the city has announced.
The draft 2026-27 Action Plan discusses how the city will implement the 2025-2029 Consolidated Plan during the second year, and includes a list of programs and projects that are recommended for funding with federal CDBG Funds.
The draft FY 2026-27 Action Plan, including the funding recommendations, will be considered by Lompoc City Council at a May 19 public hearing, during which the council will make a final funding decision, the city said.
The hearing will be at 6:30 p.m. in Lompoc City Hall Council Chambers, 100 Civic Center Plaza, Lompoc.
The final FY 2026-27 Action Plan will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). There are $467,176 in CDBG funds available for projects and programs for FY 2026-27, the city reports.
The draft 2026-27 Action Plan is available for a 30-day public review with a comment period, Monday, April 20 through Tuesday, May 19.
The draft document will be available for review on the city’s website, Andersen Recreation Center, and the Lompoc Public Library.
Those unable to attend the May 19 council meeting can comment via email delivered to s_haddon@ci.lompoc.ca.us by 4:45 p.m. Monday, May 18.
Also, the meeting will be broadcast on Comcast Channel 23 and the radio at KPEG 100.9 FM, with the livestream available on www.cityoflompoc.com on the Lompoc Media Center page.
Summary of Recommendations to the Lompoc City Council follows:
1) Consider recommendations for funding contained in the draft FY 2026-27 Action Plan for the use of federal funds under the Community Development Block Grant Program.
2) Make final CDBG funding awards and direct staff to finalize the FY 2026-27 Action Plan and to submit the FY 2026-27 Action Plan to HUD.
