The Westmont College basketball teams are finding games before entering Golden State Athletic Conference play.

The men’s team picked up a pair of contests against fellow NAIA school Simpson next week at Murchison Gym. They’ll play on Friday, Feb 5 at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Feb. 6, at 4 p.m.

On Tuesday, Feb. 9, Westmont will host Bethesda at 4 p.m. before starting GSAC competition the following week with three games against Vanguard (Feb. 16 at Vanguard and Feb. 19-20 at Westmont).

Westmont was supposed to play GSAC opponent Hope International three times next week, but those games were pushed to the final week of February due to positive COIVD-19 testing by the Royals.

The Warriors (1-2) are coming off their first win of the season, a 117-103 win victory over Saint Katherine last Wednesday night.

The Westmont women’s team also will play back-to-back nonconference games against Simpson on Feb. 12-13. Both games tip off at 5:30 p.m.

Westmont and Simpson have already endured two postponements, one on Dec. 4 and the other on Jan. 26.

Before the Simpson games, Westmont will start GSAC play with a three-game series against Hope International next week. The Warriors will host the Royals on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 5 p.m., and travel to Fullerton for games on Friday and Saturday.

Due to county and state health guidelines, spectators are not allowed to attend games. Fans can follow the action on the Westmont Sports Network coverage.
