Down 2-0, the Westmont women’s attempt for a reverse sweep fell just short in a 25-15, 25-23, 19-25, 21-25, 16-14 Golden State Athletic Conference loss at San Diego Christian Friday night.

“They outworked us, they outhustled us, and they outplayed us,” said Westmont head coach Ruth McGolpin. “They showed more heart than we did, they had a better attitude than us, and they deserved to have the result go their way in the end.”

Jessie Terlizzi had a good night night offensively for the Warriors, collecting 18 kills with an attack percentage of .424. Patty Kerman added 14 kills while hitting .387.

Keelyn Kistner and Sydny Dunn added 29 and 28 assists respectively for Westmont, while Lilian Reininga led the club with 14 digs.

Westmont is now 9-7 overall and 3-2 in the GSAC, and San Diego Christian is 7-3 and 3-2.

The Warriors travel to Fullerton Saturday to take on Hope International, with first serve scheduled for 7 p.m. Links to live stats and video can be found on the Westmont website.
