The Westmont women’s volleyball team dropped a five-set match Saturday at Ottawa University in Surprise, Ariz., to stop a four-match Warrior winning streak.
The Warriors, now 9-6 overall and 3-1 in the GSAC, lost by scores of 33-31, 19-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-13.
“We just didn’t play well,” Westmont head coach Ruth McGolpin said. “We had a few individuals that played well, but offensively we were nowhere to be found. Our passing game never improved and there was never a moment where we clicked.”
Lexi Malone led Westmont with 17 kills, while Phoebe Minch added 16. Libero Lilian Reininga collected a team-high 36 digs, ande Keelyn Kistner and Sydny Dunn tallied 26 and 23 assists each.
