Westmont junior Lexi Malone had nine kills and five block assists to lead the Warriors to a 25-18, 25-10, 25-21 sweep of Menlo at Murchison Gym Saturday.

Malone, a Foothill Tech alumna, hit for a .533 attack percentage. Audrey Brown had five kills and four blocks, and Patty Kerman four kills for the Warriors.

“I thought, as a team, we came out really strong in the first set and it showed in our score,” Westmont head coach Ruth McGolpin said. “In the second, we came out fired up and dominated that set. We had a little bit of a hiccup in set three, but I was proud of how our players responded down the stretch.”

Westmont, now 12-7 overall and 6-2 in the GSAC, hosts Saint Katherine in a non-conference game Friday, then hosts The Master’s in a GSAC match on Saturday. Both matches start at 7 p.m.
