A Wind Advisory was issued Thursday for areas of Santa Barbara County, with the strongest gusts likely west of Goleta, according to the National Weather Service.
The advisory was to go into effect at 4 p.m. Thursday and continue until 4 a.m. Friday.
Other affected areas include county mountains, San Marcos Pass, the communities of Santa Barbara, Montecito and Carpinteria, the San Rafael Wilderness Area, and the Dick Smith Wilderness Area.
Forecasters were calling for northwest winds of 15-30 mph, with gusts to 45 mph.
Motorists were warned that the blustery conditions could make driving difficult, especially for high-profile vehicles such as trucks, RVs and campers.
Sunny skies are expected through the weekend, with highs in the mid-to upper-70s along the coast, and the lower-90s inland.
Overnight lows should be in the upper-50s.
