Historic World War II planes that actually were involved in combat were at the Santa Barbara Airport this week thanks to the Collings Foundation’s Wings of Freedom Tour. Planes included the P51B Mustang and the B24 and B17 bombers. For a small fee, locals were encouraged to climb aboard and see the airplanes from the inside. For a larger fee, people could go up for local rides of a half-hour or for an hour. Click here for additional pictures.
