A woman was critically injured after being hit by a car in the Goleta Valley Tuesday morning, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

Emergency crews responded to Alameda Avenue and Cathedral Oaks Road at 8:07 a.m. for a report of a pedestrian who was hit by a car.

County Fire spokesperson Karen Cruz-Orduña said the middle-aged woman was transported to a local hospital.

The driver did not have any injuries in the collision, she added.
