YouthWell will host a free, virtual Volunteer & Internship Workshop, 5:45-7:15 p.m. March 11, to connect Santa Barbara County teens in middle and high schools directly with local organizations offering summer volunteer and internship opportunities.

More than a dozen community organizations will participate in the panel-style format designed to give teens direct access to decision-makers and program leaders.

Participating teens will:

  • Learn what organizations seek in applicants.
  • Ask questions directly to representatives.
  • Build professional communication skills.

“This event is about helping teens see themselves as leaders and contributors in their own community. When teens are connected to meaningful opportunities, it strengthens not only our future — but the well-being of our entire county.” said Shani Piendo, Youth Advocacy Board intern at YouthWell.
