The Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara (HACSB), in collaboration with its nonprofit affiliate, 2nd Story Associates, recently hosted its annual Young at Heart Senior Fair at Villa Santa Fe I senior affordable housing development.

The event was made possible through a grant from Santa Barbara Foundation, and was open to residents of Villa Santa Fe I and other senior residents of the Housing Authority.

The Young at Heart Senior Fair linked seniors with critical services and resources. Among the agencies and service providers attending were Family Service Agency, Santa Barbara Public Library, Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics, Garden Court & Gardens on Hope, CommUnify, Santa Barbara Museum of Art, Alzheimer’s Association, Independent Living Resource Center, Center for Successful Aging, California Phones, Hospice of Santa Barbara, and Foodbank of Santa Barbara County.

The event is in keeping with the Housing Authority of the City of Santa Barbara’s commitment to providing the resources and support needed to enable local senior residents to experience a good quality of life.
