At the Santa Barbara School District meeting Tuesday, the board approved Harding Elementary School’s proposal to conduct a feasibility study on becoming an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.
One of the main reasons the school staff is interested in the IB Primary Years Programme is its emphasis on high expectations and a very rigorous curriculum.
Research shows that underperforming students can demonstrate dramatic achievement gains when provided an accelerated curriculum coupled with high-quality instruction and appropriate support.
