Four people were seriously injured Wednesday night in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 154 in the Santa Ynez Valley, according to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.

The collision involving five vehicles occurred at about 7:30 p.m. on Highway 154 west of the Cold Spring Bridge, fire Capt. Scott Safechuck said.

Two men and two women suffered moderate injuries in the crash, Safechuck said.

They were taken by two AMR ambulances to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Their names and details on their medical conditions were not available.

“Delays were reported for clearing of vehicles from the roadway,” Safechuck said.

The collision was under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
